SAT School Day Helps Remove Barriers for CA Students

University of San Francisco, Pepperdine, and 30+ other CA private colleges consider SAT scores in admissions, along with thousands more across the country. It is invaluable for first year math & ELA placement, merit-based scholarships, and financial aid distribution.

The SAT is the #1 college admission test in the U.S. and is the only one to offer free, world-class practice tools with Bluebook™ and Official SAT Prep on Khan Academy^®.

Students who take the SAT on a school day gain free access to the BigFuture^® School app, where they can view scores, get personalized college and career guidance, and connect with nonprofit colleges and scholarship organizations.

Set More CA Students Up for Success with AP

Launched in the 23-24 school year, AP Precalculus is already offered in over 530 high schools across California and awarded credit at nearly a third of California’s non-profit campuses award credit

Over 245,000 California students showed potential to succeed in English 10: AP Seminar and nearly 170,000 California students showed potential to succeed in AP Precalculus based on AP Potential™ data from the SAT and PSAT assessments in the 2024-25 academic year 

The English 10: AP Seminar Exam satisfies ELWR (Entry Level Writing Requirement) in the University of California system and meets the California State Seal of Biliteracy assessment requirement for students with a score of 3 or higher.

New A-G approved courses like AP Precalculus and English 10: AP Seminar are easy to implement and give more California students access to the benefits of AP.
